Rafferty's Chia Seed, Apple, Pear & Cinnamon Porridge
Makes - 4 little pots
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 pouches of Rafferty Apple, Pear and Cinnamon Puree
1 tbsp sulphur-free sultans or currants
1/2 cup milk (dairy alternative e.g. coconut or almond)
1 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
Suitable for babies aged 8 months +
The addition of whole currants is suitable for babies from 12 months + and recommended that they be supervised at all times.
Try using pear and a pinch a nutmeg
Always store in an airtight container. Fridge – 1 week Freezer - up to 2 months.
- Step 1
- In a small pan combine the Rafferty's Apple, Pear and Cinnamon Puree, raisins, coconut oil and milk, simmer for 5 minute.
- Step 2
- Add the chia seeds to the pan and cook for a further 5-10 minutes, until it absorbs the liquid.
- Step 3
- Spoon the mixture into 4 little jars or bowls and wait to cool before serving.
- My little ones love this recipe, it's full of flavour plus I know it's great for them - more like this one please!
